What to have ready when you call
None of this is essential, but it gets you a straight answer faster.
- Car keys: year, make and model, and whether you still have a key that works.
- Vehicle lockout: where the car is, and whether anyone or any animal is inside it.
- House or business lockout: the address and what kind of door it is.
- Rekeying: how many doors, and whether they currently use the same key.
- Commercial hardware: what the door is made of and what is on it now. A photograph helps more than a description.
