Information you give us

The only place this website collects personal information is the service request form on our Get A Quote page. That form is provided by Workiz, the software we use to manage jobs and scheduling.

When you submit it, you choose what to tell us. That normally includes your name, your phone number, and a description of what you need. Depending on the job it may also include your address or the location of your vehicle, and details about the vehicle or property.

We use that information for one purpose: to contact you about the service you asked for and to carry out the work. We do not use it for marketing lists, and we do not sell it.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, the type of device and browser you are using, which pages you looked at, and where you arrived from. This is standard server and analytics data. It is not linked to your name and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

This site does not use advertising cookies and does not run advertising trackers.

Third party services we use

A few outside services are involved in running this website. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.

• Workiz. Provides the service request form and stores the job details you submit.
• Hostinger. Hosts this website and its server logs.
• Google. We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand how the site is used and how it performs in search. Some pages include an embedded Google Map, which only loads if you click to load it.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone. We share it only where it is necessary to do the job you asked for, or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Service records are kept in our job management system for as long as we need them for business and tax purposes. Website analytics data is retained according to Google’s standard retention settings.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@locksmithcolumbusoh.com or call (614) 401-4006. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it, for example invoices and tax records.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you using this site.

Phone calls and text messages

If you call us or send us a message, we keep your number so we can respond and so we have a record of the job. If you send us photographs, for example of a key fob or a lock, we keep those with the job record for the same reason.

This website is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Security

This site runs over an encrypted connection. Information submitted through the service request form is handled by Workiz under their security arrangements. No system is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
